SharePoint Analyst

Location: Kansas City

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000

The Rowland Group has a thriving client in the O&G industry that is searching for a SharePoint Analyst. This company provides a great work environment and opportunity for career advancement. This person will assist with designing, developing and testing solutions for Microsoft Office SharePoint Service as well as provide technical support and training to end users to maximize the investment in SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with DOT and OSHA health, safety and environmental requirements and follows safety philosophy and procedures developed by the Company
  • Collaborate with internal customers to develop and document requirements for SharePoint solutions
  • Work with Senior SharePoint Analyst to implement branding of the SharePoint environment and all sites
  • Manage SharePoint features and solutions at the site collection and site level
  • Provide research and expert judgement in the evaluation of third-party add-on tools and solutions for the SharePoint environment
  • Provide technical support and training to end users to maximize the investment in SharePoint
  • Apply end-user solutions including site templates, sites, libraries, and lists
  • Integrate SharePoint with SQL Server technologies including SSRS integration, Business Data Connectivity, and Performance Point BI tools
  • Knowledge of project management principles in order to plan and organize implementations, map process flows, manage timelines and report on outcomes

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a records management or document management environment
  • At least 3 years of experience with SharePoint
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with course work in information technology
  • SharePoint development using Microsoft languages and compilers, K2 administration, and forms and workflow development is preferred
  • Ability to actively engage in safe behavior and understand and follow the principles and methods related to pipeline and workplace safety as established by the Company
  • Knowledge of emergency and safety procedures, policies procedures, equipment operating parameters, and all applicable DOT, EPA, FERC, DHS and OSHA requirements
  • Knowledge of records management principles and best practices, system analysis methodologies, archival descriptive standards, preservation metadata development and control and business process analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in SharePoint, the Office suite, and backend Microsoft server technologies
  • Well-developed oral communication skills are required to deal effectively with employees and external vendors
  • Ability to configure and manage SharePoint site collections, service applications, solutions, and search functionality
